Biomedtrix and Orthomed will hold a series of SOP™ bone plate workshops beginning April 27 through April 30. The workshops are free of charge to all participants and will be held at Kansas State University, University of Missouri, University of Illinois and Purdue University respectively.
The April 4 workshop at Univ. of PA will be instructed by Dr. Karl Kraus, but is at capacity. There are still available spots in the April 27, 28, 29 and 30 workshops, all which are to be instructed by Dr. Josh Rexing. SOP™ is one of a line of state-of-the-art veterinary orthopedic implants. “The SOP Locking Plate System is a unique system that uses locking technology with conventional screws,” an Orthomed representative explained. Previously available in 2.7mm and 3.5mm sizes, the company has recently added a smaller 2.0 mm to the list.
The SOP™ Interlocking Plate System eliminates significant limitations of conventional plates and consequently has a wide range of applications in orthopedic and spinal surgery. Developed by Orthomed and the IVOA, the SOP™ can be used on long bone, spinal and acetabular fractures and in other instances.
