BioMedtrix introduced the CFX® (Cemented Fixation) total hip system in 1990 and the BFX® (Biologic Fixation) system in 2003.  Since that time, over 50,000 procedures have been performed. Both systems evolved over this time frame and have now been combined into one hip system, one instrument set, and one technique.

A two day Universal Hip Workshop consists of lecture and instruction, including identifying patients, as well as hands on lab experience. The April/ May workshop at Ohio State University will also include a presentation on the CFX® Micro Hip. The course is followed by the opportunity to participate in our Product Certification Program.

The BioMedtrix Canine Knee was developed in conjunction with Dr. William Liska.  The knee system utilizes implants and instruments similar to those used in humans. The design features a modular hybrid press fit / cemented system, with an articular surface that allows for a wide range of motion and maximum stability along with complete interchangeability between all femoral and tibial components.  These features help to optimize the implant fit and still maintain restoration of knee biomechanics.

The TKR course provides a full day of classroom instruction, followed by lab experience, and the opportunity to participate in our Product Certification Program.

BioMedtrix Product Certification Programs provide workshop attendees the opportunity to have their practice cases reviewed by an instructor, extending the course beyond the lab and encouraging proper technique.  Certified candidates will have demonstrated understanding of the concepts necessary for successful clinical results.

The Universal Hip course participation is limited to 16-20 attendees, while the TKR course has been designed for 10-12 participants.

BioMedtrix reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course if workshop registrations exceed or fall below suggested participation as noted in the course description.   In the event a course is cancelled, all registrants will receive a full refund, or will have the opportunity to register for the next scheduled course.   BioMedtrix is not responsible for travel expenses in the event of a cancellation.

Please fax your completed registration form to BioMedtrix at (973) 331-7809.  Once the registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation letter with additional course details and travel information.
